Once in Haridwar, check into the hotel and take in the spiritual ambiance of the city. In the evening, explore the Mansa Devi Temple and witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Enjoy an overnight stay in Haridwar.

Haridwar, known as the "Gateway to God," is a sacred city adorned with temples that attract religious pilgrims from around the world. The city's intense spiritual atmosphere becomes even more captivating during religious festivals. Positioned on the banks of the River Ganges, Haridwar is among the seven holiest places for Hindus. The bustling congregation at Har-ki-Pairi Ghat imparts a chaotic yet reverent feel, making Haridwar a truly unique and spiritually charged destination.

Day 02: Haridwar to Barkot (210kms/7-8hr) Height: 1352 MTS

Explore Mussoorie's charms as you journey from Barkot via Mussoorie, making pit stops at the picturesque Mussoorie Lake and the refreshing Kempty Fall. Afterward, proceed directly to Barkot, where you'll check into the hotel upon arrival. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Barkot with included breakfast and dinner.

As for the Barkot weather, summers offer a generally pleasant experience with temperatures ranging from 25-30 degrees Celsius. In winter, days are cool and refreshing, but nights can get chilly with temperatures ranging from 10 to 5 degrees Celsius.

Day 03: Barkot to Yamunotri to Barkot {36kms drive & 6kms Trek (one side)} Height: 3235 MTS

Embark on an early morning adventure after enjoying a packed breakfast. Drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti to commence the star-studded trek to Yamunotri, covering a distance of 6 kilometers. Choose your preferred mode of transportation, be it on foot, horseback, or Doli (at your own cost). Immerse yourself in the rejuvenating waters of Jamunabai Kund, seek the divine blessings of "Yamunaji," and undertake the return trek to Jankichatti. Later, drive back to Barkot for a relaxing overnight stay, including breakfast and dinner.

Yamunotri Temple, built in the 19th century by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur, has witnessed destruction and reconstruction twice in the present century. At Yamunotri, an intriguing tradition allows pilgrims to cook rice by packing it in cloth and immersing it in the hot waters of the Tapt Kund. Pilgrims carry this cooked rice home as a sacred "Prasad." Additionally, near the temple, you have the opportunity to offer "Pooja" to Divya Shila.

Surya Kund: There are several thermal springs near the temple, which flow into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.

Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Yamunotri Weather - In summer the maximum temp is 18 degrees and the minimum is 10 degrees Celsius. The days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold.
